Camping at Ink & Engines Fest 2026 - Everything you need to know

Entrance for camping

Enter the green gate on Long Lane.There will be a camping only car park where you can park your vehicle and walk to the wristband collection & campsite search. We recommend parking your car & picking up your wristbands & door hangers & then going back to unload your car. 

 

Camp Site Opening Times

Friday: 14th August 10am - Sunday 16th August at 10pm

 

Camping wristband collection

Friday: 10am - 10pm

Saturday: 8am - 12 midday

Outside of these hours please talk to campsite security 

 

Dirty Garage event - Friday 14th August

14:00 Gates open for campers

16:00 Gates open for general admission

Saturday & Sunday

You can have early access on the Saturday and Sunday morning from 8am so you can get that all important breakfast from one of our many delicious food traders. Watch the cars arrive and be one of the first into the tattoo convention on both days! Access to the tattoo convention is from 9am on Saturday & Sunday.

FAQs

 

  • What if my group who I’m camping with don’t all turn up together?

Camping is first come first served. If you would like to camp together we recommend meeting outside and entering the camping site together.

 

  • Are camper vans allowed?

There is an allocated area for Camper vans / Caravans.

 

  • Are BBQs or campfires allowed? 

We do not allow for BBQs or campfires at the event but we do allow small gas stoves for personal consumption. Food traders will be open from 4-11pm on Friday night, and open for breakfast from 8am on Saturday & Sunday

 

  • Can I leave the camp & festival site & come back?

You can leave the camp & festival site. Every time you re-enter the camp site security will do a brief check & you will be able to re-enter. 

 

  • What happens if I lose my camping wristband?

If you lose your wristband please report to the wristband collection within their opening hours or report to a member of security, welfare or anyone in an Ink & Engines high Vis Vest

 

  • What if I feel unwell at the event?

Please make your way to our welfare units or speak to anyone in an Ink & Engines high Vis Vest

 

  • Lost Property

All camp site lost property will be stored in the Welfare unit within the camp site

 

  • Are there any age restrictions on camping?

There are no age restrictions on camping, however all under 18s will need to be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21.

 

  • Are there any cash points on site?

We do not have cash points on site. Our nearest cash point is located at Longwater retail park, we advise driving to Longwater and not walking as this is a very busy highway.

 

  • Can I bring a camp chair into the festival site?

You CAN bring camping chairs, trolleys into the festival.

 

  • Is there a campsite drop off?

Any vehicles dropping off campers can drop off at the camping car park & then leave the site again immediately after.


 

What you can and can’t bring into the festival

 

FOOD AND DRINK

 

Food can be brought into the campsite.

 

However,

NO FOOD IS TO BROUGHT INTO THE FESTIVAL ARENA, YOU MAY BRING ONE 500ml SEALED BOTTLE (OF WATER OR SOFT DRINK) OR AN EMPTY PLASTIC BOTTLE TO REFILL AT OUR WATERING HOLES.

No glass is permitted anywhere on site.

 

For customers with specific dietary requirements that we don’t cater for, we do allow a reasonable amount of food to be brought into the festival arena for personal consumption. This must be confirmed with us in advance of the festival by writing to

The legal age to bring alcohol into the campsite is 18+. This is limited to what security deem a reasonable amount per person. There is an ID check on entry and any alcohol will be confiscated if you are found to be underage. Alcohol can not be taken into the festival arena.

 

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are not permitted anywhere on site at Ink and Engines Fest:

  • Air Horns

  • Animals (except Assistance Dogs)

  • Audio Recorders

  • Chinese or Sky Lanterns

  • Drones

  • Excessive Amounts of Cigarettes

  • Fireworks

  • Flares

  • Gazebos

  • Generators

  • Glass of any kind (Glass bottles)

  • Illegal Substances

  • Knives

  • Liquid Fuels

  • Marker Pens

  • Masks and bandanas (covering your face)

  • Megaphones

  • Nitrous Oxide and/or Whippets

  • Portable Laser Equipment and Pens

  • Large Speaker Systems (pocket sized speakers are OK)

  • ‘Legal Highs’ and Unidentifiable Substances

  • Skateboards, Rollerskates, Bikes

  • Large Soundsystems

  • Spray Cans

  • Unauthorised items for trading, including any goods using unauthorised event logos

  • Unauthorised Professional Film, Video or Camera Equipment (lens bigger than 6″)

  • Unofficial tabards or reflective jackets

  • Weapons (or any item which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon)

 

Campfires of ANY kind are NOT allowed anywhere
